On the 20th and 21st of July my father and myself travelled to Campbell town for the 2013 branch f 3d. It was my first shoot with my new bow that I had only got the week, it is a green Hoyt alpha elite 60 pound 30 inch draw and as well it was my first shoot as a senior. We got there on Friday afternoon and after setting up the caravan I was off to the practice range to see how my bow was shooting and after a bit of adjustment to the sights I was starting to shoot a bit better and looking forward to the next day. The next morning brought good weather, and after a very challenging course I came back with a 368 which was a little disappointing but after talking to everyone else I realised that my score was the highest. The next round was on the more open range and after a good round I finished with a 382 which put me in front of the rest of the shooters by 20 points after the first day. The next day was more windy but we were shooting on the more sheltered course and I was shooting a lot better and I was going for a 390 on the last target but shot a b and finished with a 388 and stretched my lead out to 34 points going in to the last round. The last round was on the most challenging course again and it got really windy which made it even more difficult and after struggling in the wind I managed to finish with a 368 which was decent for the conditions and made shore that couldn’t be beaten. I would also like to thank Pete from complete angler for managing to get my bow in from America and setting it up for me, and for fixing my arrows for me all the time.
